Country Roads

One of the most wonderful things about our move to the North State, into the "wilderness" so to speak, are the drives to and from town. As we live quite a way from the nearest town, we do have a longish drive to and fro. Some of the images and feeling of wide, open spaces though, make it all worthwhile.
The peak you see on the first image is Mt. Lassen, bathed in the last rays of the setting sun. The very last peak, Mt. Shasta is one that greets us, as we make our way to town, weather allowing. Somedays Mt. Shasts seems close enough to touch.
Enjoy!! We do!!

  1. Oh that's gorgeous!
There are a few rare spots that are like that down here, but less and less all the time!

  2. Hi there, Deb. Glad you enjoyed it. We feel very fortunate to have such a beautiful "commute."
Of course fortunate as well to have friends who are enjoying the little bits and pieces I post here. :) It's nice to find a few lines, letting me know someone enjoyed their visit.
