Lake Time

Here's Mother Duck, instructing her brood on proper begging technique. Last year while on our favorite lake, spending lazy days hanging in hammocks on a little island, this little family would visit everytime we came. The little ones would come right up to the boat. And though no one is supposed to feed them, of course everyone does. So they, as well as a group of Candian Geese are pretty shameless beggars. They are a joy to watch, paddling away in those crystal clear waters.

  1. This makes me so homesick :(..... I miss that favorite lake so much! I can picture right where you are in your hammocks!! Remember the night we watched the full moon on the water? What a joy to have those memories! I cherish them, and you & Richard! OK... pass the Kleenex please!

  2. I knew this one would get you. LOL. We often talk about that night. It was great, wasn't it? That big ,fat moon rising above the lake, making the water glitter. Magical. Oh well, one of these days you'll come down for a visit and we'll do it again. :)
