fine
ablaze
in color
ready
for the dance

Iris
meant
to bloom
to
greet our visitors
alas
they cannot wait
the
warm spring sun
tickled
them awake
and
now they burst
hearts
wide open
impatiently
donning their
fancy
frocks of satin
yellow
and purple
with
a dainty stripe
not
willing to wait
even
for a few more days
too
eager for the
dance
to begin
